Rose City Reader: Author Interview: Susan Snively —May 20, 2015

The Heart Has Many Doors is now on Facebook. Please take a look and like the page!

My book, The Heart Has Many Doors, was officially released on Valentine's Day. I'll be giving three readings in April: on Wednesday, April 8, 7 p.m. at the Broadside Bookshop in Northampton; on Thursday, April 16, 7 p.m., at the Odyssey Book Shop in South Hadley; and on Saturday, April 18 at 2 p.m. in Greenfield at World Eye Books (see also their event page on Facebook). All three events are free and open to the public.  A book-signing will follow. —Susan, March 16, 2015

To mark the occasion of Emily Dickinson’s 184th birthday on Wednesday, December 10, the Emily Dickinson Museum is presenting a book launch of my new novel The Heart Has Many Doors. The event is free, and includes a reading, book signing and reception starting at 5 pm at the Amherst Woman's Club, located next door to the Emily Dickinson Museum at 35 Triangle Street.

Also on that day, the Museum is offering two "Dickinsons in Love" special tours, at 3 and 7. (Hot stuff!) "Dickinsons in Love" explores the multiple romantic relationships of the Dickinson family at the Homestead and The Evergreens. —Susan, November 24, 2014

The Heart Has Many Doors, Susan Snively's first novel, will be published on February 14, 2015, by White River Press. Pre-ordering will be available later this fall. Watch this space for more information.

If you're in Western Massachusetts this summer, and you have Emily or love on your mind, you will find this Emily Dickinson Museum program of great interest - "Dickinsons in Love" - Summer Saturdays at 6 pm: June 21, June 28, July 5, July 12, July 19, July 26, August 2. Note: Adult themes; content not suitable for young children. —Susan, May 25, 2014

Welcome to my website. Designed by Kathryn Fjeld and Roman Victor, it has been an adventure to help put together—a combination of a Life Review and a happy playtime in the sandbox.

I’ve especially enjoyed including friends among the Links, looking at their work and accomplishments, and marveling at how lucky I am to know them.

I also loved combing through images of domestic life here in Amherst—including my husband Peter’s expert cookery, and "visits" from wild turkeys and other fauna—and celebrating again the diverse landscape of New England. —Susan, October 20, 2013
